Date and time

This year’s event will be held on the 7th of November. Gates will open at 6pm and the show is scheduled to start at around 7pm with the fireworks planned for 7:15. Arriving early to the car park is recommended but you can pop into the Good Intent pub to stay warm until our gates open.

Tickets

Tickets for our bonfire can be bought in-person only. We do not sell tickets online.

Adult tickets cost £11 and child tickets cost £5.

All on-sale dates are subject to availability. We expect tickets to sell out before the event, but we can never be sure how long they will last. Keep an eye on our socials for updates on ticket availability.

Food and drink

At the event, we will have a bar serving beer, wine, mulled wine and soft drinks, we also run a BBQ serving burgers and hot dogs. For vegetarians and vegans, we invite our friends from the Farnham Community Farm who will cook you a selection of locally-grown plant-based food. If you fancy something a bit nicer than our house wine, we welcome our friends from Greyfriars Vineyard who bring their award-winning wines for your delectation. For non-alcoholic beverages, we are pleased to welcome back The Little Coffee Pantry who will be taking a break from their usual spot on Puttenham Common to share their hand-crafted hot drinks with you.

Volunteers

Please remember that everyone working at the event is a volunteer and we’re all there to give you an excellent night. We may not be perfect, but we’re giving up our time for you. Please be respectful and patient as we do our best.

Parking

Parking for the event is free of charge in the village, we recommend arriving early to avoid excessive queuing (3,500 people coming into our little village can be a bit of a squeeze!). Please arrive into the village and follow instructions from the marshals positioned throughout the village. The entrance to the car park is on Suffield Lane in Puttenham, what3words: ///reckoned.active.occupy. This is a grass car park, please drive sensibly.

Payments

CASH PREFERRED: While credit and debit card payments will be accepted for bar and barbecue services, please be advised that technological issues can occasionally arise. To ensure a seamless experience and prevent any inconvenience, we strongly recommend having some cash on hand.

Proceeds

Any profits made at the event are donated to local charities and good causes. Over the past 30 years, we have donated tens of thousands of pounds to beneficiaries including Puttenham School Association, Friends of Puttenham Church and the Puttenham Playground.

Ticket resale

As we are volunteer run, it is not possible for us to give refunds for tickets; the logistics of keeping track of ticket sales is complicated enough. Many people are able to sell their unwanted tickets on Facebook to people who are looking for them. However, please be aware that social media is full of people trying to rip you off and scam you. The following advice should be followed at all times:

  • All of our tickets are paper-based. If someone tells you that they have tickets “in their inbox” or that they can email them immediately then they’re lying and you should block them.
  • Tickets cost £11 and £5. If someone is trying to offload a couple of unwanted tickets and is asking for a lot more than this then they’re probably lying and you should block them.
  • All of our tickets have to be bought in advance in person. Check the profile of the person selling the tickets, if it’s clear that they’re not local then they’re almost certainly lying and you should block them.
  • Our tickets are printed on high quality stock card. If you’re offered tickets that feel like paper or do not look high quality then do not hand over any money and walk away from those fake tickets.
  • As with buying anything online, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Cancellation arrangements

In the unlikely event that the bonfire has to be cancelled, refunds will not be offered but your ticket will be valid for the 2027 event. Any cancellation announcement will be made on this website and through our social channels.
